• Arrest: Ivan was apprehended by a joint team around 4:00 PM local time and subsequently taken to the Special Services Room of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Unit PPA Satreskrim) at the Surabaya City Police Headquarters at 5:22 PM.

• Suspect Status: The decision to declare Ivan as a suspect was made following a gathering of evidence from 11 witnesses, as confirmed by Kombes Dirmanto, the Head of Public Relations for the East Java Regional Police (Polda Jatim).

Focus on Bullying Case

Dirmanto urged the media to concentrate on the handling of the bullying case perpetrated by Ivan, emphasizing this point when questioned about Ivan’s relationship with several police officers. He stated, “Let’s focus on the handling of this case and avoid diverting elsewhere.”

The incident, which took place on Monday, October 21, 2024, at SMAK Gloria 2 Surabaya, stemmed from an altercation and misunderstanding. Ivan’s actions came after his child was teased and bullied by classmates at the school.
